Mykolaiv is looking for a contractor to dismantle illegally installed advertising structures in one of the city's districts. They are ready to spend half a million hryvnias for this.
The relevant tender was announced in the public procurement system Prozorro.
The customer was the administration of Zavodskyi district of Mykolaiv.
According to the terms of the procurement, it is planned to dismantle more than 250 advertising media of various sizes, including both large billboards and small structures installed without permits. The work includes dismantling billboards with dimensions ranging from 6×1.5 meters to small signs measuring 0.5×0.2 meters. The dismantling should be completed by December 19, 2025.
Applications from contractors will be accepted until June 7, and on June 9, an auction will be held in an open bidding format with special features that provide for shorter deadlines for submitting applications and appealing.
According to Chief Architect Yevhen Polyakov at the briefing, Mykolaiv city authorities have set a goal to significantly reduce the number of advertising structures in the city to 350-400 units.
According to him, such a reduction will reduce the number of available advertising spaces, but at the same time increase their cost. This may encourage businesses to reformat and provide better advertising. Poliakov also emphasized that all structures installed more than 15 years ago should be dismantled in the city, as they are dangerous - often rusty or wooden boards that pose a threat to pedestrians in bad weather.
The city's chief architect also said that Mykolaiv continues to record cases of signs in Russian, despite the current ban, even in 2025.
