In 2025, Mykolaiv hospital spent tens of millions of hryvnias on medicines, medical equipment, and services. The most expensive tenders were for life support equipment and laboratory systems.
Intent analyzed the procurement of Mykolaiv City Hospital No. 1 in 2025 using the electronic trading platform Zakupivli.pro.
In 2025, the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise "City Hospital No. 1" of Mykolaiv City Council conducted dozens of procurements through the electronic procurement platform. The total amount of announced tenders for only part of the year reached almost UAH 40 million.
The largest expenditures were for medicines, laboratory reagents and medical equipment. Thus, the hospital planned to spend over UAH 18.9 million on medicines. In particular, the hospital purchased test systems for determining vitamins, tumor markers, diagnostic kits, dialyzers and laboratory filters. The expected cost of some of these purchases ranged from UAH 2 million to UAH 8 million.
More than UAH 11.8 million was spent on equipment to maintain physiological functions of the body. The institution also spent money on medical waste disposal, sanitation and water treatment services. Thus, sanitization cost about UAH 108,218. And the laboratory water purification system cost UAH 353,201.
It was planned to spend more than 15 million on food, but the procurement did not take place. Solid waste removal services cost 349 thousand, and hazardous waste management services cost more than 600 thousand.
Procurements also involved more complex equipment, such as a laparoscopic system for operating rooms worth 6 million hryvnias.
Most of the tenders resulted in contracts, although some were canceled due to lack of offers or technical reasons. In total, the Municipal Enterprise "City Hospital No. 1" of Mykolaiv City Council held tenders for over UAH 39.2 million.
In 2025, Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital made a number of large procurements, including water supply, medical materials, and equipment maintenance. The most expensive purchases were arterial and venous hemofiltration kits, repair of a CT scanner, and payment for water supply.
From the beginning of 2022 to May 2024, hospitals in Mykolaiv Oblast purchased medical equipment worth more than half a billion hryvnias. Despite significant humanitarian support, budget funds remain the main source of funding. An analysis of procurements in the Prozorro system pointed to possible overpricing.
