The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has granted the application of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and seized an apartment and non-residential premises owned by Ukrainian MP Yulia Didenko.
The relevant court ruling was published in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Decisions.
On August 26, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit with the court demanding that the assets of the MP, her husband, Hryhoriy Didenko, the head of the Odesa Regional Council, her mother Lyubov Syrota, and her brother Kostyantyn Syrota be declared unjustified.
The lawsuit refers to the money that the MP paid as a down payment for apartments totaling almost UAH 4 million, as well as cars AUDI SQ8 (2021), AUDI SQ8 (2024) worth UAH 2 and 4.2 million.
In particular, the brother contributed UAH 4 million for the apartment. The mother purchased a car for UAH 2 million, which was used by the MP and her husband.
The lawsuit also involves the agricultural company NIVA+, which purchased another car. However, it was the head of the Odesa Regional Council, Didenko, who made the payment for the car. Moreover, it was the couple who drove it.
According to SAPO estimates, MP Yulia Didenko and her relatives did not have enough money to purchase these assets, except in part.
In connection with the alienation of cars in favor of third parties, part of the value of which may be recovered as unreasonable, as well as the impossibility of seizing the funds that were contributed under the contract of sale of property rights, the Plaintiff points out the need to secure the claim by seizing other property that is not the subject of the dispute, however,
That is why the prosecutor requested the seizure of a 32.2 square meter apartment in Kyiv and a 39.9 square meter non-residential property of Yulia Didenko herself in Truskavets, Lviv region, to secure the lawsuit.
