The port in Chornomorsk, Odesa Oblast, is planning to repair 16 berths. The company is ready to spend more than UAH 50 million. The search for a contractor has already begun.

This is evidenced by data from the Prozorro public procurement system.

The customer is the Black Sea branch of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority".

The project envisages the replacement of baffling devices at 16 berths at Sukholimanska Street 14-B, 14-B, 20-A, 24-B, 30-A, 32-A, 36-A, 44-A, 58-G, 58-B, 60-A, 64-A, 64-B, 68-A, 72-A, and Pivnichna Street 4-B in Chornomorsk, Odesa Region.

The total cost of the works was estimated at UAH 52.67 million.

It is worth noting that the tender contains a note "adjustment". This means that the client has made changes to the tender documentation or procurement plan. This may be due to various circumstances, such as clarifying technical requirements, changing the timeframe for completion of work, or adjusting the expected cost.

Applications from contractors will be accepted until July 18, and an auction will be held on July 21 in an open bidding format with special features that provide for shorter deadlines for submitting applications and appeals. All works must be completed by December 31, 2026.

The port of Chornomorsk is one of Ukraine's key maritime hubs on the Black Sea coast, specializing in handling containers, liquids and general cargo. After the opening of a modern container terminal in 2008, it became the second largest transshipment hub after Odesa, providing fast exports of grain, oil products and chemicals to Europe and Asia. Thanks to a deep-water approach channel and renovated berths, Chornomorsk can handle ocean-going vessels of up to 200,000 dwt, and its integration with rail and highways makes it an important logistics hub for Ukraine's agricultural and industrial sectors.

In December 2024, a new grain terminal was launched in Chornomorsk. The facility has a daily throughput capacity of 8,000 tons, can accommodate vessels of up to 30,000 DWT and provide storage of up to 33,000 tons.
