The Security Service and the National Police have eliminated a scheme to evade mobilization.
This was reported by the SBU Office in Kherson region.
As a result of complex measures, the SBU detained the suspects who helped people liable for military service to evade conscription. Among the detainees are officials of the TCC and the center for the provision of administrative services. In exchange for bribes, the suspects were removed from the military register on the basis of fictitious medical reports.
Three officials of the TCC and their accomplice, an employee of the local administrative service center responsible for working with persons liable for military service, were exposed. It was documented how the woman updated the data of men of military age and offered them assistance in avoiding mobilization. The suspect then passed the personal data of the clients to her accomplices in the TCC, where they removed the evaders from the military register due to allegedly poor health.
The actions of the Kherson defendants are classified under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an unlawful benefit by an official).
The offenders are in custody. They face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
On September 30, Intent reported that a man who agreed to work for the invaders during the occupation of part of the Kherson region was detained. And after the de-occupation, he began to serve in one of the district military commissariats of Odesa region. According to the State Bureau of Investigation, during the occupation of part of the Kherson region, the former colony inspector took a similar position to the invaders. He worked in the seized institution for the "new government" until the liberation of part of the region, and after the de-occupation decided to stay in the territory controlled by Ukraine. Subsequently, the man was mobilized and began serving in one of the district military commissariats in Odesa region, where he served calls to persons liable for military service. The man told his colleagues about his conscientious position and denied collaborating with the occupiers.
On September 21, the Kotovskyi District Court found the TCC employee guilty of taking a bribe and fined him 68 thousand hryvnias. Also, as stated in the court' s verdict, the man was banned from engaging in activities related to the enforcement of legislation on military duty and military service, mobilization training and mobilization for a period of two years.
