Prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office have defended in court the state's right to forest land plots with a total area of more than 42 hectares.

According to the prosecutors, in previous years, the State Geocadastre in Kherson region, when forming agricultural land, illegally included territories that were in permanent use by the Velykokopanivske and Kakhovka state forestry and hunting farms. As a result, all the conditions were created for the withdrawal of forest land.

In order to protect the interests of the state, prosecutors filed lawsuits to invalidate the orders of the State Geocadastre to change the designated purpose of the land and return it to its rightful user. The Economic Court of Odesa Region satisfied the prosecutors' claims in full.

Earlier, in Mykolaiv region, the state returned the reserve lands that were used for private agriculture. The value of the land is over UAH 33 million. At that time, the prosecutor's office proved that the Kazankivka village council had illegally transferred 2 hectares of communal land belonging to the Lagodivsky landscape reserve to private ownership for farming. According to the law, the lands of the nature reserve fund cannot be transferred to private hands.

Also in Mykolaiv region, a gymnasium principal was found to be making money by renting land belonging to the educational institution. The value of the land is almost 300 thousand hryvnias, the area is 10 hectares. This land plot is in permanent use of the Novofedorivska gymnasium of the Kazankivska village council and is intended for personal subsidiary farming.
