Journalists have identified the richest families of Odesa doctors

Journalists from the Center for Public Investigations checked the 2023 declarations of all 39 directors and acting directors of medical institutions in the city and ranked the richest families.
According to the study, the Velychko family received the most money last year - UAH 5 million 894 thousand.
Valentyna Velychko, the director of the Reznik Children's Consultative and Diagnostic Center, received UAH 929 thousand. Of this amount, 353.3 thousand hryvnias were salary, 531.2 thousand hryvnias were fees, and another 44.4 thousand hryvnias were received from business. At the same time, the director's husband received UAH 4.8 million from business in 2023, and another UAH 107.1 thousand was his salary.
Last year, the family of Ihor Shpak, director of Maternity Hospital No. 5, received a total of UAH 3 million 586 thousand. The director's income amounted to UAH 670.8 thousand: 514 thousand hryvnias in salary and 156.8 thousand hryvnias in pension. At the same time, Shpak' s wife Victoria Baghdasaryan received 2.5 million hryvnias in salary from the Dutch ViroClinics Biosciences B.V. in 2023, plus social assistance: UAH 2.5 thousand from the Odesa Department of Social Protection of the Population and UAH 378.7 thousand from the Benefits Service of the Dutch Ministry of Finance.
Last year, Tetiana Moskalenko , director of Maternity Hospital No. 7, received UAH 972.4 thousand in income, and her husband received more than UAH 1.4 million. So in total, they received UAH 2.429 million. The director's main source of income was her salary - she received UAH 719.5 thousand as the head of the maternity hospital and UAH 103 thousand as a professor at Odesa National Medical University. In addition, in 2023, Moskalenko declared 124.1 thousand hryvnias in pensions. The director's husband received UAH 1.4 million from business.
Last year,the Antipovfamily received an income of UAH 2.194 million. The director of CDC #6 earned UAH 1.697 million, and the director's husband earned UAH 496 thousand. The source of his income was his salary and pension: UAH 242 thousand and 254 thousand, respectively.
The family of Iryna Holovatyuk-Yuzephpolska, director of Maternity Hospital No. 1, is at the bottom of the ranking. Together with her husband, Yosyp Yuzofpolsky, their income amounted to UAH 2.150 million: UAH 609.3 thousand for the head of the maternity hospital and UAH 1.541 million for her husband. Golovatyuk-Yuzefpolska earned 461.5 thousand hryvnias and another 147.7 thousand hryvnias from her pension. Her husband, Joseph, received 1.4 million hryvnias from business and 49.2 thousand from his pension.
