Currently, there are many rumors and gossip about the reduction of pension revenues or even the elimination of pension provision. It is likely that this is sometimes done deliberately to sow panic in Ukraine. A modern person should understand that any information coming from the authorities or public utilities can be found on the relevant official Internet resources. Let's try to figure out how you can check whether you have been awarded a pension.

How to register on the Pension Fund of Ukraine Portal

The main information resource for Ukrainian pensioners is the Pension Fund of Ukraine's Electronic Services Portal, available at the following link: https://portal.pfu.gov.ua/ . To use the Portal, you need to register. Let's consider the options for obtaining registration.

Registration by application

1). You need to contact the main department of the Pension Fund in your region. You can find the necessary contacts at this link: https://portal.pfu.gov.ua/sidebar/Templates/Organizations .

2). Bring the application to the Pension Fund or fill it out on the spot. You will receive a receipt of the application and a registration code. This code will be required for registration on the Portal.

3). Go to the "Registration" section at the top of the Portal, fill out the form, enter the registration code.

4). After filling out the form, you will receive a letter to the email address you entered to confirm your registration.

Registration by QES

1). First, you need to get a QES key - a digital analog of an electronic signature. There are a number of ways to obtain a digital signature key. For example, you can do this using the privat24 service. On the left side of the menu, find the "Business" section, and open the "Electronic Signature" subsection at the top. Or you can go to a bank branch, provide your passport and identification code, and write the QES to a USB flash drive. You will also receive a password to the QES, which is important not to lose.

2). At the top of the Portal website, find the "Login" section. It automatically opens on the "By QES" tab (on the far left), where you need to fill in a small table. In the upper column, select the "Individual" option. In the "Select an ACS" column, select from the list the option under which you received the QES. For example, it can be a bank or the Diia app. Transfer the QES from the flash drive and enter the password to it.

What information does the Pension Fund of Ukraine Portal provide?

After logging in to the Portal website, a menu appears on the left, in which the "My Pension" section is of key importance. Go to the subsection "Electronic Pension Case", where your personal information is collected. In particular, you can find the following information here.

1). Scans of your employment record book.

2). Information about your length of service. This contains the calculations for determining the right to a pension (number of years of service) and the amount of pension is calculated. In the table, you can see all the stages of your work experience (from the beginning of work to dismissal) with a total count of years, months, and days. If a certain stage is missing, you should contact the Pension Fund and correct the information.

3). A certificate of salary taken into account when granting a pension. The tables show your salary on a monthly basis for all years of employment. Your pension is calculated based on your salary. You have the right to exclude from the calculation up to five consecutive years during which you received a low salary. You also need to understand that before 2000, your work is included in your pensionable service, but is not taken into account when determining the amount of your pension. Therefore, if you had a high salary before 2000, you should bring a certificate to the Pension Fund.

The My Identification section is important for those who live abroad or in the temporarily occupied territories. In this section, you can see the date of your last identification. Within a year, these categories of Ukrainians need to renew their identification, otherwise their pension payments may be suspended.

The "Subsidy Calculator" section contains information about the subsidies you receive. To receive a particular subsidy, you must submit an application.

The My Applications section contains certificates that you have submitted to the Pension Fund. This may include certificates related to a change of employment that affects the calculation of your pension amount.
