The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment has announced that this year, as in previous years, a single entrance exam will be required for admission to any specialty (regardless of the form of study - full-time or part-time, state-funded or contractual, etc.

This exam will also be taken by those wishing to enroll in a Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Arts degree program.

The UEE will include a test of general academic competence (TGAC) and a foreign language test (English, German, French or Spanish at the applicant's choice).

The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment has approved the general characteristics of the EIE tests. The number of tasks in each test, the forms of test tasks, the time allotted for their completion, and the scoring schemes have been determined.

The tasks of the TZNK will be drawn up in accordance with the Program of the General Educational Competence Test, and those of the foreign languages - in accordance with the Program of the Unified Entrance Exam in Foreign Languages.

The TKNK block will consist of two components: verbal-communicative and logical-analytical. It will contain 27 tasks:

  • 4 - to fill in the blanks in microtexts (subtasks 1-10) (you will need to complete the sentences in microtexts with phrases or words by choosing them from the given options);
  • 23 - multiple-choice questions.

The test will take approximately 75 minutes to complete.

The tasks of the TKT will be evaluated according to the scoring scheme. That is, 1 test point will be awarded for each correct answer to a multiple-choice item and 1 test point for each correctly filled-in gap in the microtexts. Thus, you can get from 0 to 33 test points for completing all the tasks of the TKNK: 10 points for tasks 1-4 (subtasks 1-10) and 23 points for tasks 5-27.

The Foreign Language block (a test in English, German, French or Spanish at the applicant's choice) will consist of two parts: reading and language use. It will contain 30 tasks:

  • 6 matching tasks (you will have to match statements/situations to advertisements/texts, questions to answers, or answers to questions);
  • 5 - with a choice of one correct answer;
  • 19 - to fill in the gaps in the text (you need to complete the sentences in the text with phrases or words from the given options).

The test tasks will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.

According to the scoring scheme, 1 test point will be awarded for each correct answer to the multiple-choice questions, 1 test point for each correctly identified logical pair in the matching tasks, and 1 test point for each correctly filled-in gap in the text.

Thus, you can get from 0 to 30 points for completing the tasks of the Foreign Language block.
