The utility company Zhitservis has announced an increase in the tariff for garbage collection services in Izmail starting in March.

This is reported by an Intent correspondent with reference to the relevant announcement.

The current tariff, which has been in effect since March 1, 2024, no longer covers the company's costs, the utility explains. Among the main reasons for the tariff revision are the increase in the cost of materials and spare parts, the increase in the minimum wage, and a 47% rise in the cost of waste collection and disposal set by Komuntrans LLC.

According to the new calculations, the tariff will be:

Thus, the tariff for households will increase by 12.7% on average. If now Izmail residents pay UAH 55 per person, in the beginning of spring they will have to pay UAH 62.

The previous tariff increase for this type of service in Izmail took place a year ago. Since March 2024, the cost of the service has increased by sixteen hryvnias - from 39 to 55 hryvnias per person.

Meanwhile, the Swedish government has excluded Odesa from the cities selected as pilot communities to participate in a Swedish government project to reform the national waste management system in line with European standards, and Deputy Mayor of Odesa Hanna Pozdnyakova blamed the Department of Ecology of the Odesa Military Administration.
