President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy 's Servant of the People party is initiating the recall of deputies from local councils in Kherson Oblast for betraying the interests of the community or for complete inaction during the war. It concerns seven deputies.

According to the Servant of the People party, the political council supported the decision of the people's initiative to recall seven deputies of local councils in Kherson region. The prepared materials will be submitted to the relevant territorial election commissions (TECs).

These are the following persons:

The party claims that these individuals either violated their oath of office, were found to be involved in collaborationist activities, or simply withdrew from work during the most difficult period for the country.

According to the head of the Kherson regional organization of the Servant of the People party, MP Serhiy Kozyr, the decision was a continuation of the party's principled line to cleanse its ranks of those who betrayed the state or failed to fulfill their duties:

"These people are no longer part of our team. In a time of war, we have no right to be weak or half-hearted. Those who failed the test of responsibility must leave," he said.

Earlier, the initiative to recall these MPs was supported at a meeting of the Kherson regional organization of the party on April 11. Now, according to the law, the final decision must be made by the territorial election commission.

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Yuriy Sobolevsky resigned as the head of the regional branch of the Servant of the People political party and withdrew from its membership.

It was also reported that the Kherson City Council lost more than a third of its deputies - 20 out of 54. This is one of the highest figures in the country. Among the reasons are that 18 deputies resigned at their own request, mostly in 2023-2024. Two more - Volodymyr Saldo and Ihor Semenchev - were deprived of their mandates due to court sentences for treason and collaboration.
