Worked in the occupation military-civilian administration: Kherson resident is served with a notice of suspicion

During the occupation of Kherson, a 75-year-old local resident voluntarily agreed to cooperate with representatives of the aggressor country. The suspect became the head of the social policy department in the illegally created "Kherson military-civilian administration".

According to Chermen Tuskaev, deputy head of the Kherson Police Investigation Department, investigators found that in June 2022, the woman voluntarily agreed to the occupiers' offer to work in the illegally created "Kherson Military-Civilian Administration". The defendant became the "head of the social policy department". In this position, she performed organizational and administrative functions.

Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, the woman was served a notice of suspicion of collaboration in absentia. She faces three years in prison.

Earlier, a resident of the Kherson region, who headed a rehabilitation facility under the occupiers, was suspected. According to the investigation, in June 2022, the 62-year-old suspect voluntarily agreed to take up the position of the so-called "acting chief physician of the Kherson Regional Hospital for Rehabilitation Treatment". In this position, the man organized the work of the hospital. He illegally produced cliché stamps with Russian symbols.

A university lecturer who was implementing Russian education standards in the seized Kherson university was also served a notice of suspicion. According to the investigation, the 52-year-old suspect, a candidate of agricultural sciences, voluntarily took up the position of "first vice-rector of the State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education of Kherson Region "Kherson Agrarian University" in August 2022, an institution registered by the occupation authorities of the region as a higher education institution of the aggressor country.
