In February 2025, the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting decided to register Intent as an online media entity. In fact, this is a re-registration of the publication in this capacity, because Intent got its name in 2022, changing the previous name of Izbirkom. Izbirkom was created by the Odesa regional organization of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine back in 2009.

In addition, Izbirkom was the first in Odesa to undergo an independent external audit, which confirmed transparency and compliance with the highest professional standards and received a certificate from the Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI), an international standard of journalistic standards. In addition, three times in a row, Intent was included in the map of recommended media based on the results of an independent expert assessment by the Institute of Mass Information (IMI) and Media Detector.
