The National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has once again failed to auction 68 cardboard boxes of TORAY desalination equipment.

According to Prozorro.Sale, a new auction was to be held on March 17 in a new format - a hybrid Dutch auction.

The asset is located on the territory of the Black Sea Logistics Center Limited Liability Company. The auction organizer has also changed: last year it was Tender Online, a private enterprise, and now it is Ukrinvestenergoconsult, a limited liability company. The starting price of the new lot is UAH 37 million 746.6 thousand. This compares to UAH 18 million 873.3 thousand in the previous auction, which was held in the English auction format.

This is the equipment for the organization and operation of a desalination plant with a capacity of 11,300 cubic meters per day based on reverse osmosis, which was purchased from Marubeni Corporation (Japan). According to the results of the visual inspection, the actual plastic packaging of the equipment is in an isolated state without damage or tears, but the outer wooden boxes are in an unsatisfactory condition due to long-term storage, which will not allow the transportation of the latter without replacing the packaging.

The equipment was transferred to ARMA based on a decision of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv in 2018.

Last year in August, the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) failed to sell 68 cardboard boxes of TORAY desalination equipment. The auction failed due to the lack of bidders. Therefore, ARMA announced a new auction with a starting price of UAH 54 million 832 thousand. The previous starting price was UAH 109 million 664 thousand.
