The Security Service of Ukraine served a notice of suspicion in absence to 29-year-old Daniil Chernykh, a correspondent for the Tavria propaganda media outlet working for the occupiers in Kherson region.

This became known from the text of the suspicion published by the Prosecutor General's Office.

The investigation found that in 2022, the Russian occupation administration created Tavria on the basis of the seized branch of the Public Broadcaster. In August of the same year, Chernykh got a job there as a "journalist" and began preparing stories that justified the Russian invasion and supported the occupation authorities.

In particular, he recorded interviews with collaborators, including:

Prior to the full-scale invasion, Chernykh worked for the pro-Russian Novorossiyaagency in the occupied part of Donetsk region. Although he is officially registered in the Russian city of Belgorod, propaganda stories show that he is in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region.

He faces 10 to 12 years in prison.

This is not the first time collaborators have been exposed in the media. Earlier, other Tavria employees, Vladislav Vladimirov and Oksana Korinna, who worked for the occupiers and promoted Russian propaganda in the region, were suspected.

Earlier, Intent wrote, Enemy propaganda continues to actively use disinformation to discredit Ukraine by creating fake news. The occupiers left Kherson more than a year ago, but the Kremlin stubbornly clings to the narrative that it is allegedly Russian territory. Fake news research in the material of Intent.
