More than UAH 395 million has been allocated for the installation of modern heating stations in Mykolaiv. This should improve heating efficiency and reduce energy costs for residents.

This is evidenced by data from the DREAM ecosystem.

Mykolaiv initiated the reconstruction of the district heating system in the Ingul district of the city. The project involves the modernization of boiler houses and the installation of individual heating points in residential buildings, which will improve heating efficiency and the quality of services for residents.

According to the project description, the reconstruction includes two boiler houses at 34B Mykolaivska Street and 7A Kytoboiv Street. The project envisages the dismantling of old hot water boilers and related equipment, including burners, fans, smoke exhausters, pipelines, and automation.

Instead, modern boilers with burners, circulation pumps, and automated heat control systems, including three-way valves, will be installed. An individual heat point will be installed for each house - 95 units from the Mykolaivska boiler house and 76 units from the Kitoboiv boiler house.

The project also includes upgrading water softening systems, installing a second stage of softening and modernizing heat exchangers, which will optimize costs and extend the service life of the equipment. The initiators expect that the measures will provide significant resource savings and improve the quality of heat supply, in particular through automated control systems adapted to the characteristics of each building.

The total estimated budget of the project is UAH 395 million 900 thousand, and the implementation period is about 36 months. Currently, funding has not yet been confirmed, and the project is still in preparation. The executor and initiator is the regional utility companyMykolaivoblteploenergo.

At the same time, Mykolaiv is not on track to complete the construction of block-modular boiler houses by the start of the heating season, for which the government had previously allocated UAH 1.1 billion. The work was delayed due to late funding. These are 18 boiler houses with a total capacity of more than 70 megawatts, which were supposed to provide the city with backup heating in case the central thermal power plant was damaged.
