Mykolaiv plans to build two solar power plants with a total capacity of almost 20 MW for more than 600 million. The projects aim to increase the community's energy independence.

This is evidenced by the data of the DREAM ecosystem.

The Mykolaiv community plans to implement two energy projects - the construction of solar power plants with a capacity of 9.9 and 10 MW. The total budget of the initiatives exceeds UAH 667 million, but they currently need funding.

Funds for the construction of a 9.9 MW plant are planned to be raised from July to December 2025, with design work lasting from April to June. The 10 MW plant is expected to be built from April to October, and the design is planned for January-February 2026. After implementation, both stations will be able to generate electricity autonomously - without being connected to external sources.

The projects are being implemented as part of community and regional development. The customer is the regional utility company Mykolaivoblteploenergo.

UAH 329 million was allocated for the installation of solar power plants with a total capacity of 10 MW, and UAH 338.4 million for the construction of 9.9 MW stations.

According to the project description, SPPs should provide a stable and environmentally friendly electricity supply to residential and social facilities, even under conditions of load or damage to infrastructure. According to the project initiators, the installation of the stations will improve the community's energy security and reduce dependence on traditional energy sources.

Also, as part of the post-war reconstruction, Mykolaivoblteploenergo plans to implement an infrastructure project to install gas-piston cogeneration units that will simultaneously produce heat and electricity. The total amount of investment to be attracted is almost UAH 3 billion.

In addition, Mykolaiv region has received funding from the government to develop energy and water supply systems, including the construction of modular boiler houses and the installation of gas turbine equipment.
