As a result of the Russian attack on May 18, two ships sailing to Odesa region ports through the Black Sea were damaged.

According to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, these were vessels flying the flags of Guinea-Bissau and the Marshall Islands, which were in the waiting area and moving through the Ukrainian corridor to the ports of Greater Odesa.

The hits caused small fires on both vessels, which were localized by the ship's crew. There were no injuries among the crews. The vessels are underway and have continued to move to their ports.

According to the command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the KSL DEYANG, flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, belongs to a company from the People's Republic of China and its crew consisted of Chinese citizens.
