Trump's Tariff Wars: US Imposes Duties on 180 Countries, Excludes Russia

(Photo collage: Intent)

The United States of America, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, has launched the so-called "tariff wars" by imposing customs duties on almost all countries in the world, with more than 180 on the list, including Ukraine.

Explanation of the situation in the accents of intent.

The list does not include, for example, the Russian Federation. The White House explains that this is because trade between the US and Russia has been reduced to zero as a result of economic sanctions that have been in place since 2022. Washington adds that Cuba, Belarus, and North Korea are also not included in the list for the same reasons, as the current duties and sanctions against them are already very high.
