During an audit at the municipal enterprise Motor Transport of Odesa City Executive Committee, auditors found financial violations worth more than UAH 2.1 million.

This was reported by the press service of the Southern Office of the State Audit Service.

According to the audit, due to the lack of primary documents confirming the write-off and unreasonable overstatement of consumption rates, the company illegally wrote off fuel worth more than UAH 1.5 million. In addition, the company unlawfully paid for vehicle maintenance and repair services worth almost UAH 209 thousand without the relevant supporting documents.

The local budget of Odesa did not receive UAH 70 thousand because the proceeds from the sale of scrap metal were not credited to the budget. The company's employees were also paid overstated vacation pay, which resulted in financial losses of more than UAH 280 thousand (including unified social tax), and the former director and some other employees were paid bonuses of almost UAH 52 thousand (including unified social tax), in violation of the order of the Odesa mayor.

Based on the results of the inspection, reports on administrative offenses were drawn up against the company's officials: one under Article 164-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and two under Article 164-14 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Recently, during an inventory of eight vessels of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP), more than 3,000 new and almost 2,000 used spare parts were found that were not recorded in the inventory books. This indicates that repairs on the vessels were carried out only on paper, and the company provided spare parts without actual use. The spare parts were seized, the damage assessment is ongoing, and the materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies.
