Three Injured in Kherson Region Shelling: Russian Attacks Intensify

On the night of March 1, three people were wounded in Antonivka, Kherson region, due to enemy shelling

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, an 86-year-old woman came under Russian artillery fire that night. She was diagnosed with a mine-blast and traumatic brain injury, shrapnel wounds to her legs and abrasions on her face.

A 56-year-old man was also injured by an enemy drone attack, suffering from blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his legs.

"At about six in the morning, the occupants dropped explosives from a UAV on a civilian car. As a result of the impact, the 74-year-old man received shrapnel wounds to his hands and abrasions to his face," the statement said.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Military Administration, dozens of settlements in the Kherson region came under enemy fire and air strikes over the past day, including Chervonyi Mayak, Mykhailivka, Beryslav, Dudchany, Novokaira, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Dariivka, Mylove, Novodmytrivka, Zolota Balka, Tyahynka, Stanislav, Sofiyivka, Shyroka Balka, Oleksandrivka, Velyetenske, Kachkarivka, Antonivka, Poniativka, Sadove, Zelenivka, Prydniprovske, Inzhenerne, Komyshany, Dniprovske, Osokorivka, Burgunka, Vesele, Kozatske, Mykolaivka, Sablukivka, Tokarivka, and the regional center of Kherson.

The Russian occupants targeted residential areas and social infrastructure. The shelling damaged a multi-storey building, 15 private houses, outbuildings, a garage and a private car. Four civilians were injured as a result of the attacks.

On the night of March 1, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed one enemy Shahed-131/136 drone that attacked the region.

Earlier, Russian troops shelled civilian infrastructure in Kherson and Beryslav districts, injuring 12 people, including three police officers.
