The collaborator, who headed the occupation administration of Abrikosivka in Kherson region, was sentenced to 9 years in prison. Despite the fact that she was killed by the Russian military, the court found her guilty of collaborating with the enemy.

This was reported by the Center for Investigative Journalism.

The investigation found that 54-year-old Lyubov Tymchak, a native of Crimea, voluntarily agreed to head the Abrikosovo occupation administration in the fall of 2022. She recruited staff, issued Russian passports, settled the Russian military in abandoned houses of local residents and cooperated with the occupiers in holding"elections".

Law enforcement officers gained access to her e-mail, where they found documents confirming her activities in favor of the enemy. Among them were lists of members of the illegal election commission, as well as a list of ATO participants indicating their attitude to the Russian occupiers.

Witnesses said that Tymchak helped the invaders by collecting keys to houses for the Russian military to move in, handing over equipment from a local agricultural enterprise, delivering food and water, and threatening residents who refused to receive Russian passports. She used to head the village council.

The court found her guilty under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - collaboration. She was sentenced in absentia to nine years in prison with confiscation of property and a 12-year ban on holding public office after serving her sentence. The sentence has not yet entered into force.

Drunken Russian occupiers killed Lyubov Tymchak on April 24, 2024. In total, the Russians killed seven people that day. Along with the murdered Tymchak, the remains of the body of 40-year-old Russian soldier Alexei Glinin were found. They were beaten to death and the house with their bodies was set on fire. At the same time, the Russians shot a resident of the village of Podo-Kalynivka in the stomach, and her house was also set on fire.

Also, three residents of Kherson will stand trial for collaborating with the occupiers and misappropriating the property of a local shipyard. Among the stolen goods were several cars and other material assets of the enterprise, which were taken to the left bank of Kherson region and transferred to the balance sheet of the illegal Pallada LLC. The defendants face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
