The involved specialists of the municipal enterprise "Heat Supply of Odesa" were deprived of their critical specialties and served with summonses.
This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Odesa Hanna Pozdnyakova.
According to her, these are specialists who connect, install, and carry out further work on the launch of cogeneration machines. They are hired for large facilities to perform complex work.
"I'll give you a living example: such specialists are currently working at municipal boiler houses. Given the uniqueness and unprecedented nature of the work and the equipment they use, the employees of KP TMA are not able to perform it. They do not have the appropriate qualifications," emphasized Ms. Poznyakova.
According to her, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the utility has been able to book 50% of the required number of employees.
"Given the current trend, we can assume that this percentage will not increase. Rather, on the contrary," said the deputy mayor.
She criticized the pilot project of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to attract women to professions traditionally considered male: electric and gas welder, electrician, mechanic, carpenter, turner, milling machine operator.
"For your understanding, these professions require work experience. It is impossible to wake up in the morning and become an electric and gas welder. It takes at least three years to train one such specialist of either gender," emphasized Pozdnyakova.
International partners have provided Odesa with cogeneration machines to create its own generation within the city. The first delivery is expected in November, when the first gas-piston unit will arrive in Odesa.
