The Odessa Film Festival Has Announced the Films in the National Competition

The Odessa International Film Festival has announced the lineup for its National Competition. It includes 14 feature-length films—four fiction films and ten documentaries.

This was announced by the Odessa International Film Festival’s press office.

The films will compete for awards in the categories “Best Ukrainian Feature Film” and “Best Ukrainian Documentary Feature Film.” The winners will be selected by an independent jury.

In addition, the Grand Prix winner will be selected from among the films in the National and International competition programs based on the results of an audience vote.

Furthermore, the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) will award its own certificate to one of the films in the National Competition.

By the way, the Odessa International Film Festival recently announced a special programcalled “Focus on Georgia,” which features five films by Georgian directors from different generations. The selection brings together both recognized classics and contemporary films that explore themes of war, family memory, personal freedom, and the search for home.

The17thOdessa International Film Festival willtakeplace from August 27 to September 4, 2026,in Kyiv. The event is supported by the Ukrainian State Film Agency and the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
