A former head of a utility company who became the occupying head of Oleshky will be tried in Kherson region.

According to the Oleshky District Prosecutor's Office of Kherson Region, in May 2022, the accused cooperated with the enemy and became the occupation head of Oleshky in Kherson District. As the head of the illegal administration, he approved the decisions of the local "council of deputies" to establish the boundaries of the district's territory, regulate the powers of enterprises and so-called "local self-government bodies," and approved the district budget.

In addition, he transferred a vehicle of the utility company he had previously headed to the occupation "administration of Oleshky district" for use.

The prosecutor's office did not name the suspect, but Intent learned from occupation Internet resources that it may be Heorhiy Zhuravko. According to the Chesno Movement, since May 2007, Zhuravko was the director of the Oleshky municipal enterprise - currently, the enterprise is under the jurisdiction of the Kherson District Council.
