In the temporarily occupied Kherson region, the Russians have launched a new wave of household inspections. They are using the Commission on Juvenile Affairs for this purpose.
This was reported by the National Resistance Center.
According to NRC experts, the involvement of the occupying child welfare authorities creates a formal basis for accusing parents and subsequently removing Ukrainian children. Experts note that the minors may subsequently be placed under the control of Russian authorities.
In particular, according to the Center, such actions may be used by the occupying authorities as a tool to pressure families under the pretext of assessing living conditions and their “ability” to raise children.
Experts note that on-site inspections of families involving representatives of the occupying authorities and FSB officers have previously been documented in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region.
As Intent previously reported, the occupiers announced preparations to establish a Cossack youth organization in the Kherson region. They intend to subsequently integrate this organization into the all-Russian system to secure state funding and grants.
It is also worth noting that in other occupied territories, Cossack organizations are already involved in working with schoolchildren, cadet classes, and military-patriotic education.
