According to him, these are 620 high-rise buildings and 286 private houses. 400 people had to be rescued, more than 500 people needed psychological assistance, including 35 children. Almost 1,000 square meters of asphalt pavement and the same amount of sidewalk pavement were damaged. Restoration works are underway and will be completed in the near future. Mr. Kovalev spoke about the results of the response to the bad weather and the night air attack on the region.

According to DTEK Odesa Power Grids, as of 13:00, about 1,600 customers are still without power.

On 5 October, Odesa utilities continued cleaning rainwater inlets, stopping complexes and fixed areas to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather that raged in the city on 30 September.

Oleksandr Kharlov also spoke about the consequences of the Russian air attack on the night of October 5. The enemy attacked Odesa region again with Shahed-type attack drones. The air defense forces successfully destroyed all the targets aimed at the region. Despite the noisy night and falling debris, there were no casualties or damage. Some of the drones were in transit over the region.

Earlier, a government commission reported 800 houses affected by the flooding - 300 private and 500 apartment buildings.

Law enforcers began inspections and investigations at the offices of Odesa municipality and district administrations as part of criminal proceedings under Article 367, part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (negligence that caused death).
