At night, Russian troops once again attacked southern Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones. The shelling resulted in a hit in Mykolaiv region.
According to Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, a Shahed 131/136 UAV hit a warehouse in the Bashtanka district and caused a fire in an agricultural enterprise. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
Also, according to the head of the region, a kindergarten building, a village cultural center and private houses were damaged. No one was injured in the incident.
As a reminder, four local residents, including a 12-year-old girl, were injured in the Russian attack in Snihurivka, Mykolaiv region. The Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
It is reported that on January 3, at around 17.45, the Russian army shelled Snihurivka, using an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system. More than 30 residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged, as well as vehicles of the townspeople. Residents of the houses adjacent to the scene were evacuated. Also at 08:30 in Chornomorska community, a private house was damaged as a result of hostile shelling. The owner of the house was injured.
In the morning, on January 4, the Russian army shelled Mykolaiv region with artillery. The shelling left part of the region without electricity. In particular, the Russians struck the frontline town of Ochakiv with artillery. The attack caused a fire at an energy infrastructure facility. At 7:33 a.m., the occupiers struck Ochakiv with artillery again. It is known that an accident occurred after the shelling. Mykolaiv, Ochakiv and Berezan districts of Mykolaiv region were cut off from electricity.
