The new person in charge of storage facilities in Odesa bought a quarter of an apartment last year

The interim mayor of Odesa, Ihor Koval, has appointed Andriy Fadeev as acting director of the municipal institution "Civil Defense Facilities".

According to the Center for Public Investigations, the relevant order was published by the press service of the Odesa municipality.

He is already working in the institution as a deputy director and will perform his duties either until a full appointment or until a new head is appointed.

The declaration submitted by Andriy Fadeev to the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption indicates that in 2025 he became the owner of 25% of an apartment in Odesa with an area of 45.7 square meters. Another 75% is owned by Hanna Fadeeva. The declaration also states that in 2025 the official inherited real estate. Hanna Fadeeva is also declared the owner of another apartment in Odesa with an area of 82.9 square meters.

As for transportation, Andriy Fadeev declared a 2006 Skoda Octavia, owned by Oleg Fadeev, and used by Andriy free of charge. The total income amounted to UAH 908.6 thousand.

The largest items of income were salary - UAH 439 thousand 967, pension - UAH 227 thousand 881, and other income from the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast - UAH 207 thousand 743. He received another 28 thousand 735 hryvnias from the sale of a car, given that in the declaration for 2024 there was a VAZ 2106 made in 1995, which is not in the new declaration, so it was him. 4.2 thousand hryvnias were received as payments from the trade union. Savings - 150 thousand hryvnias in cash.

The municipal institution "Civil Defense Facilities " is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the fund of civil defense facilities in the city of Odesa in a condition that allows them to be ready for their intended use within the time limits established by law.

It also ensures notification of territorial bodies of state executive power, executive bodies of the Odesa City Council, enterprises, institutions, organizations, governing bodies and civil protection forces of the population about the threat of emergencies or emergencies in the city of Odesa by ensuring the activities of the operational and emergency service of the Institution.

Earlier, the Center for Public Investigations found out how the situation with shelters in Odesa really is, who should determine their need, and why even in the fourth year of the war, the city does not have a clear system. It turned out that out of the 3,696 necessary shelters and 124 mobile shelters available in the city, only 1,189 have not been solved in almost four years of full-scale invasion.
