According to the Center for Public Investigations, this is evidenced by his declaration as a candidate for the position, which was published by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.

According to the declaration, he also owns an apartment in Odesa with a total area of 118.8 square meters, half of a non-residential building in Odesa with a total area of 209 square meters, and two parking spaces. His wife owns two apartments and non-residential premises in Odesa.

Yuriy Kushchenko is also the owner of the limited liability company TWINS-GROUP. In addition to the 10-million-hryvnia gift, the official’s income last year totaled 3,344,800 UAH in business income and 283,300 UAH in pension benefits. His wife earned 1 million 175.2 thousand hryvnias from her business and another 646.5 thousand hryvnias from the sale of real estate.

Acting Odesa Mayor Ihor Koval appointed Yuriy Kushchenko to head the Peresypskyi District Administration of Odesa on December 4.

Earlier, Ihor Koval dismissed Serhiy Kondratyuk from his position as head of the Peresypskyi District Administration of Odesa. His position was handed over to his first deputy, Svyatoslav Glazanovsky. Serhiy Kondratyuk had been appointed to the post in July 2018. At the end of August, employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations informed him that the head of the district administration was suspected of abuse of office. In September 2022, prosecutors from the Suvorov District Prosecutor’s Office in Odesa filed an indictment with the court against the head of one of Odesa’s district administrations for abuse of office.
