Odesa City Council's municipal enterprise Coast of Odesa has announced a tender to select a supplier of primary (mobile) shelter with delivery and installation.

The announcement was published in the Prozorro electronic procurement system.

The procurement is scheduled for May 12 in the format of an open tender with the expected purchase price of UAH 3.5 million. It is a mobile shelter with a capacity of 50 people - 46 seats and four seats for people in wheelchairs. The seats are calculated from the following parameters: the width of a wheelchair is 0.8 meters, the length is 1.2 meters. There should be a possibility to maneuver a wheelchair with an area of 1.5 meters by 1.5 meters near the shelter installation site.

The winning company will have to install the shelter by May 31. The structure must have protection against the effects of excessive pressure in the front of the air shock wave of at least 100 kPa. The shelter should consist of four block modules that form the main shelter room and two block modules of vestibules with an exit. The vestibules with exits are located at opposite ends of the structure.

Earlier, Odesa decided to expand the Dolphin beach area and create special infrastructure for people with disabilities. The Department of Engineering Protection of the City Territory and Coastal Development was officially appointed as the customer for the design and reconstruction of this beach. As Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov explained, the main goal of the project is to create an accessible space for all categories of citizens, including people with disabilities and veterans.

Preparations for the opening of the beach season are underway in Odesa Oblast. This year, the authorities plan to open 48 beaches for vacationers. For comparison, in 2024, the number of beaches for vacationers was more than 2.5 times less - 20. The beach at the 11th station of the Big Fountain is also being equipped.

Intent wrote that in 2025, Odesa will not open an inclusive beach on Luzanivka. The reason is that the military did not approve its opening.
