The main post office in Mykolaiv is up for sale

The premises of the main post office in the center of Mykolaiv have been put up for sale. The building was valued at more than 6.6 million, and the new owner is to be determined on September 11.

This is evidenced by the auction data of the National Electronic Exchange.

In the center of Mykolaiv, the building of the main post office, located at 27/1 Admiralska Street, has been put up for sale. The auction was initiated by Ukrposhta, and the relevant announcement was made on August 27 on the website of the National Electronic Exchange.

The building has a total area of 1840.8 square meters. The starting price of the lot is UAH 6 million 644 thousand 736 including VAT. The auction is scheduled for September 11, and bids can be submitted until September 10.

According to the terms of the sale, after the conclusion of the contract, the buyer must register the right to use or own the land plot where the premises are located within 60 days. He is also obliged to reimburse the costs of maintaining the building, including land payments, until all legal procedures are completed. In case of violation of these terms, the new owner will have to pay a fine of UAH 350 for each day of delay.

In turn, according to the agreement, Ukrposhta guarantees that the property has no legal or property encumbrances: it is not under arrest, is not subject to pledge, and has no legal disputes or agreements with third parties.

In the spring of this year, Ukrposhta announced its intention to lease the building of the Main Post Office on Sadova Street in Odesa. This facility is a historic building and a monument of the city's cultural heritage. In an interview with Intent, Oleksandra Kovalchuk, former director of the Odesa National Art Museum, said that the museum is ready to consider the Main Post Office as a second building. However, the auction to find a tenant did not take place due to the lack of participants.

Recently, the property of the Kherson Bakery Plant was sold only on the third attempt and four times cheaper than the initial price. At the start, the company's value was over UAH 12 million, but the previous two auctions failed due to the lack of buyers. The plant itself has now been officially declared bankrupt.
