Communities in the Kherson region and the regional military administration have handed over ten heavy aerial drones to the National Guard of Ukraine. The batch is valued at 10 million hryvnias.
This was announced by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
The drones were received by the “Bolgarichi” company of special-purpose reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial systems, part of the National Guard’s 11th Mykhailo Hrushevsky Brigade.
According to Prokudin, the drones are capable of carrying tens of kilograms of payload. They will be used to carry out combat missions and eliminate Russian occupiers.
In addition to combat operations, these drones help deliver food and medicine to residents of the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, particularly in Oleshky.
The head of the Regional Military Administration thanked the region’s communities for their support of the Ukrainian military and residents of the occupied territories.
Recently, special-purpose guards used drones to deliver over 600 kilograms of humanitarian aid to children in the temporarily occupied town of Oleshky. Fifteen packages containing breakfast cereals, milk, and toys were transported to the town.
Earlier, Ukrainian defenders used heavy UAVs to deliver six metric tons of provisions across the Dnipro River to the occupied town of Oleshky for local residents.
