On May 12, members of the Odesa City Council's Standing Committee on Territory Development Planning, Urban Design, Architecture and Cultural Heritage finally approved the issue of granting the municipal enterprise Odesa City Heating the functions of a customer for the construction of municipal property to be considered at an extraordinary session.

The commissioners convened the meeting to reconcile the comments made during the previous one.

As the deputies emphasized, the meeting was formal. We are talking about networks that are on the balance sheet of the utility company, and in order to carry out the necessary repairs and design work in accordance with the updated legislative norms, the company must officially receive the functions of the customer. This will allow it to respond quickly to technical needs and ensure stable heat supply in the city.

The Commission recommended supporting this draft decision to ensure the proper functioning of the heat supply system within the framework of the current legislation and taking into account the balance sheet responsibility of the utility company.

It is worth adding that the work of the standing deputy commissions of the Odesa City Council again recorded problems with sound during broadcasts.

On May 13, the Odesa City Council is scheduled to hold an extraordinary session. The meeting will start at 10:00.

Intent will traditionally broadcast the session online. Meanwhile, preparations for the session are underway. In particular, meetings of permanent deputy commissions are taking place to consider issues that may be submitted to the deputies for consideration at the session, and Intent is monitoring these meetings.

There are 12 standing committees in Odesa city council, but as of February 22, 2025, the standing committee on culture, tourism and international relations and the standing committee on regulations, deputy ethics and corruption prevention cannot make decisions, as they currently have less than three deputies.
