The interim mayor of Odesa, Ihor Koval, has dismissed Serhiy Kondratyuk from his position as head of the Peresypskyi District Administration of Odesa.

The corresponding order was published by the press office of the Odesa City Council.

His position was transferred to his first deputy, Svyatoslav Glazanovsky. Mr. Kondratyuk was appointed to the position in July 2018. At the end of August, the Department of Strategic Investigations notified him that the head of the district administration was suspected of abuse of office. In September 2022, prosecutors from the Suvorov District Prosecutor’s Office in Odesa filed an indictment with the court against the head of one of Odesa’s district administrations for abuse of office.

The Suvorov Court of Odesa refused to grant the prosecutor’s motion to remove Serhiy Kondratyuk, the head of the Suvorov District Administration, from office. The judges imposed a pretrial restriction on Mr. Kondratyuk in the form of bail in the amount of 752,400 UAH.

Instead, Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov dismissed Serhiy Hlazanovsky from his position as director of the municipal enterprise “Housing and Communal Service ‘Peresypsky’” in August. Svyatoslav Galanzovsky was appointed to lead the enterprise on July 14, 2025. The decision was based on a recommendation from the head of the Peresypsk District Administration, Serhiy Kondratyuk.

The city council also dismissed Volodymyr Kharishchak, director of the Odesa City Council’s Department of Municipal Security. The then-mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, appointed Volodymyr Kharishchak to the position of director of the Department of Municipal Security of the Odesa City Council in April 2025.
