Law enforcement officials have detained the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Territorial Recruitment Center and Special Forces. He was caught accepting a $15,000 bribe in exchange for helping someone evade mobilization.
This was reported byProsecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.
The official was detained while receiving another installment of the bribe. According to the investigation, he had previously received $10,000 to ensure that three men were not mobilized.
In addition, he promised to remove them from the wanted list in the “Oberig” system and arrange for them to keep their jobs.

Previously, law enforcement had documented his receipt of another $5,000. In exchange for this sum, the head of the Military Registration and Enlistment Office was supposed to have a mobilized man re-examined by a medical commission and prevent him from being sent to a military unit.
The total amount of documented bribes is $15,000.
Currently, the head of the regional Military Registration and Enlistment Office has been detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Law enforcement officials are conducting searches at his residence and workplace.

Investigators are preparing a notice of suspicion against the official. Prosecutors will petition the court to remand him in custody and remove him from office.
