The head of a transportation company in Odesa region sold seats in the Shlyakh system

Employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and police detained a 56-year-old head of a company specializing in international cargo transportation in Odesa region.

According to the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the offender was looking for clients among relatives of his employees and acquaintances. To implement the scheme, he fictitiously employed those wishing to travel abroad and entered their data into the Shlyakh information system as international transportation drivers.

He involved drivers of his company who were not of military age in the illegal activity. They instructed clients on the border crossing procedure, accompanied them during their trips, and returned the vehicles to Ukraine after the end of the trips.

As part of the criminal proceedings, law enforcement officers conducted a series of authorized searches at the suspects' residences and vehicles. During the investigative actions, documents, electronic media, mobile phones, draft records and three trucks were seized.

Currently, the organizer has been served a notice of suspicion of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine and unauthorized actions with information processed in electronic computers, automated systems, computer networks or stored on the carriers of such information, committed by a person who has the right to access it.

Earlier, in Mykolaiv, the court allowed the director of a charitable foundation and a former deputy from Odesa region, who is suspected of organizing the illegal departure of conscripts from Kherson region abroad, to be taken into custody.

It should be noted that for some time, the Odesa Regional Military (State) Administration refused to publish the lists of those who used the Shlyakh system, so Intent had to obtain the information through the court - Intent won in court.

Subsequently, the Center for Public Investigations published a study stating that among those who used the "Way" at that time were representatives of business, charitable organizations, and even government officials.
