The first session of the Odesa Regional Council is scheduled for the end of February

The head of the Odesa Regional Council, Hryhoriy Didenko, has ordered preparations for the session of the regional council, which is to be the first of the year.

The relevant order was published by the press service of the regional council.

The actual meeting is scheduled for February 27. The last date for the adoption of draft decisions of the regional council for consideration at the plenary session of the regional council is January 27. On February 24, the draft agenda of the plenary meeting of the regional council session is scheduled to be considered at a meeting of the conciliation board of the regional council.

The last time the Odesa Regional Council met was in December 2025. During that meeting, they approved the Program of Socio-Economic and Cultural Development of Odesa Oblast for 2026. In addition, the following issues were considered: the activities of the regional council and its bodies; target programs, concepts and urban planning; jointly owned objects of territorial communities of villages, towns and cities of the region; land relations; creation, liquidation, change of name, approval of charters of municipal enterprises, institutions, amendments to them, and their activities.

They also appealed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to prevent the adoption of Draft Law No. 14005 "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Simplification of Enforcement Proceedings through Digitalization" in the proposed version and to the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to verify the legality of the actions of OdesaGas JSC and eliminate violations of consumer rights.

Meanwhile, the acting mayor of Odesa, Ihor Koval, ordered to postpone the date of the session of the Odesa City Council, which is to be the first of the year.
