The drone that attacked Odesa region flew into the sky of Moldova at night

On the morning of March 14, at 1:30 a.m., the Border Police received a report from the Ukrainian authorities about a Shahed drone flying over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova in the eastern region of the country in the direction of Alexandrovka-Ukrainka.

This was reported by the press service of the Border Police of Moldova.

According to the Air Operations Service of the Ministry of Defense of Moldova, an aircraft was spotted, which subsequently left the national airspace in the direction of: Ukrainka (Moldova) - Novoselivka (Ukraine).

At the same time, the Ukrainian side did not confirm the detection of the aircraft and reported that the drone disappeared from radar in the territory of Troitske in the Chimishli district of Moldova.

The area where the overflight could have occurred is being checked by the Moldovan police, and so far, Border Police patrols have not found any objects or elements that pose a threat to the safety of citizens.

The Border Police maintains ongoing cooperation with competent national institutions and international partners, continuing to ensure the monitoring and security of the state border, as well as the safety of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.

On the evening of March 12, the Russian army once again attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa region with unmanned aerial vehicles. The drones damaged a food warehouse on the territory of the port by piercing its roof. A fire broke out and was extinguished by rescuers.

On March 6, a 62-year-old man who had been injured in an enemy shelling of Odesa region on March 4 died in hospital. The man worked at a railway station. Doctors assessed his condition as extremely serious. In the afternoon, on March 4, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the transport infrastructure in the south of Odesa region. The hit caused significant damage to the administrative building of the facility. There were also civilian casualties.

On the night of March 7, the Russian army also attacked Odesa from the air for the second time, hitting an infrastructure facility. The hit caused a fire. The State Emergency Service reported that it started in the port and was large-scale. It was also noted that 80 rescuers and 20 units of equipment were involved in its elimination.
