Odesa-based Rostdorstroy, which is affiliated with Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov 's Trust the Deeds party, was awarded a large contract for the construction of the Nova Odesa-Mykolaiv water pipeline without an auction. Another contract was awarded to Kyiv-based Ukrtransmist.
The agreements totaling 5.16 billion hryvnia were signed without using the Prozorro electronic system, Nikcenter reports.
"Rostdorstroy will deal with the third section, which costs UAH 2.63 billion and includes a crossing of the Ingul River and 22.3 km of water pipeline to the Zhovtnevyi Reservoir. To prepare the project, the company is cooperating with the subcontractor Derzhdorproekt.
Ukrtransmist LLC has undertaken the construction of the second section of the water pipeline worth UAH 2.53 billion, which includes the laying of 25.3 km of pressure water pipeline to the Ingul River crossing. The company engaged a subcontractor, Gal Trading, to carry out the design work.
According to the contracts, both companies should complete the work by the end of the year. The capacity of the new water pipeline will be 138 thousand cubic meters per day, and in the future, with the laying of the second pipeline line, it will increase to 230 thousand cubic meters. Design and survey work is scheduled to be completed in November.
The ultimate beneficiaries of Rostdorstroy LLC are currently Yuriy Shumacher, a member of the Odesa City Council and representative of the Trust the Deeds party, and businessman Yevhen Konovalov. "Rostdorstroy is known as the largest road contractor in Mykolaiv region.
The Kyiv-based Ukrtransmist has been active in the region since the beginning of the war and has been awarded several large contracts to protect critical infrastructure.
Recently, the new head of the Infrastructure Restoration Agency, Serhiy Sukhomlin, said that the construction of a water pipeline in Mykolaiv region is one of the main areas of work for the Agency for the next year. He said that Mykolaiv residents would be provided with drinking water as early as August 2025.
