Anti-corruption authorities have filed an indictment with the court against the head of the Odesa Regional Council and his wife, who is a member of the IX convocation. They are suspected of failing to declare property worth more than UAH 8 million in the period of 2021-2023.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the press service of the NABU and the SAPO.

The investigation found that the official and the MP failed to indicate part of the property in their annual declarations, which falls under Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - declaring false information.

The defendants were served with a notice of suspicion in October 2025, and in December the case file was opened for the defense to review. The indictment has now been sent to court.

At the same time, the High Anti-Corruption Court is considering a lawsuit to recognize the couple's assets worth almost UAH 5 million as unjustified and recover them in favor of the state.

According to the investigation, in 2021-2024, the spouses purchased property worth about UAH 5 million, including two Audi SQ8 cars (2021 and 2024) and cash contributions under contracts for the sale of property rights. An analysis of income and expenses shows that these assets could not have been acquired legally.

Official reports from anti-corruption agencies do not name the suspects, but according to Intent, they are the head of the Odesa Regional Council, Hryhoriy Didenko, and his wife, Yulia.

Last year, in September, the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine granted the application of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and arrested an apartment and non-residential premises belonging to MP Yulia Didenko.

According to SAPO estimates, MP Yulia Didenko and her relatives did not have enough money to purchase these assets, except in part. This is why the prosecutor asked to seize a 32.2-square-meter apartment in Kyiv and a 39.9-square-meter non-residential building in Truskavets, Lviv Oblast, to ensure the lawsuit.

In December, detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine completed an investigation into the case of Hryhoriy Didenko, the head of the Odesa Regional Council, and his wife, a current member of parliament, who are suspected of concealing their property.
