TCC employee fined for extortion of 300 liters of fuel

The Kotovskyi District Court found an employee of the territorial center for recruitment and social support guilty of taking a bribe and fined him UAH 68,000.

Also, as stated in the court' s verdict, the man was banned from engaging in activities related to ensuring the implementation of legislation on military duty and military service, mobilization training and mobilization for a period of two years.

The convicted person is obliged to pay the fine within one month after the court verdict enters into force and notify the authorized probation authority at the place of residence by presenting a document on the payment of the fine. The measure of restraint in the form of bail was left unchanged until the verdict enters into force, after which UAH 499,620 will be returned to the people who paid the money for the convicted person as bail.

The seizure of the money and cell phones seized from the convict will also be canceled when the verdict enters into force. The equipment and money will be returned to the owners, i.e. the convict and the victim of his actions.

This verdict can be appealed to the Odesa Court of Appeal by filing an appeal through the Kotovsk City District Court of Odesa Region within thirty days from the date of its announcement.

Odesa law enforcement officers detained an employee of one of the territorial centers for recruitment and social support on suspicion of taking a bribe for issuing a certificate postponing mobilization.

According to the investigation, the suspect demanded 300 liters of fuel or the cost of the specified amount of fuel in cash from a resident of Podil district as a reward for the mobilization reservation. If he refused, he threatened to send him to the combat zone.

In August, the case of a serviceman of the Podilskyi TCC and JV in Odesa region was brought to court.
