Tanya Muinho Wins Best Director at Hollywood Music Video Awards 2025 for Lady Gaga's Disease

Ukrainian director Tanya Muinho won the Best Director nomination at the Hollywood Music Video Awards 2025 for her music video for the famous American singer Lady Gaga's Disease.

She announced this in her Instagram stories.

The video was released in late October 2024. According to the director's idea, Lady Gaga fights against inner demons and overcomes them. Earlier, Disease won the MTV Video Music Awards Japan in the nomination for Best Video by a Solo Artist.

Tanya Muinho is a Ukrainian music video maker, designer, stylist, photographer and director.

She has been doing her job since 2016, when she started collaborating with Dmytro Monatic, known as MONATIK. For him, Tanya Muinho has directed more than 20 different solo and duet videos, the most famous of which is the video for the song "Kruzhyt", which was also filmed in Odesa. In 2024, the singer also presented a new song "And what", in which he expressed his love for Odesa and the video was created by Tanya Muinho.

In total, she currently has more than 60 music videos for more than 20 artists, including Rozhden, NK, Michelle Andrade, Vremya and Steklo.

At the same time, she has also directed music videos for other Ukrainian artists: Rozhden, NK, Michelle Andrade, Vremya i Steklo, Katy Perry, Yungblud, Cardi B, Post Malone, The Weeknd.

In 2024, she directed the performance of the representatives of Ukraine, rap artist alyona alyona and singer Jerry Heil, at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

In 2023, Tanya Muinho's video for Harry Styles ' song As It Was was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Music Video category. She is also the record holder for the number of awards in the Best Music Video category at the annual Ukrainian YUNA Awards (she won three times in a row: in 2016, 2017, and 2018) and a two-time winner of the M1 Music Awards' Music Video Maker of the Year category (2018, 2019).
