The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has started accepting applications for budget subsidies from farmers in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions who grow cotton.

This was reported by the Ministry's press service.

"Given the climatic conditions of the south, the experience of scientists and the interest of farmers, this is realistic. Farmers who grow cotton in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions can receive state support of UAH 10,000 per hectare for this year's harvest," said Vitaliy Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Applications will be accepted until July 10. They can be submitted by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who:

Upon completion of the verification of the application and information about the recipient, the regional commission will notify the State Agrarian Register of approval or refusal, stating the reasons. In case of approval, it determines the amount of budget funds to be paid.

Starting September 15, the budget funds should be transferred to the recipient's account.

The fields of Odesa region started growing cotton in 2024.
