The Novovorontsov community received a batch of solar panels to improve its water supply. Ensuring stable access to water remains a priority for the community.

According to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, this is the second shipment of panels with a total capacity of about 70 kW. The first shipment with a total capacity of about 30 kW was delivered last year.

"Currently, we are working on completing the systems with the necessary equipment to put the panels into full operation soon," the organization added.

The Congress noted that this assistance was made possible through the support of USAID and Chemonics International Inc. in cooperation with the Chortkiv community, Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council, and the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities.

"Thanks to the cooperation with international and Ukrainian partners, the community received devices to power the pumping equipment of the wells," the congress said.

Thanks to the financial support of the Global Emergency Relief, Recovery & Reconstruction and the People in Need Charity Foundation, solar power plants are being actively installed in the Velyko Oleksandrivska community in Kherson Oblast .

To this end, the Velyko Oleksandrivka Village Council has announced a tender for the installation of a solar power plant that will provide a stable energy supply for the local community. The project involves the purchase and installation of 11 photovoltaic modules with commissioning of 11 artesian wells by the end of April 2025. The expected cost of the project is UAH 5 million 927 thousand 653. The village council signed a contract for these works with the company that offered the highest price.
