Social taxi service in Kherson region: who can use it and how

"Social Taxi helps people with limited mobility and disabilities in the Kherson region.

According to the Kherson City Military Administration, the project is being implemented by the NGO Strong and Free together with the MBA.

"In November, the Social Taxi hotline received 188 applications. Two specially equipped cars were used to fulfill them: Kherson City Center of Social Services for Family, Children and Youth and the NGO "Strong Bo Free, " the statement said.

Passengers, according to the administration, were delivered to medical institutions, the Pension Fund, the employment center, and banking institutions.

"The crew of the NGO "Strong and Free" also made 35 trips to the "red" zone of the city - to the regional oncology dispensary," the MVA added.

This service can be used by:

- people with musculoskeletal disorders;

- children with disabilities (accompanied by an adult)

- patients who have been injured after shelling and cannot move independently;

- people with chronic diseases that limit their ability to move independently.

Taxi services are free of charge and are provided only within the Kherson city territorial community. Please note that taxis do not deliver to/from markets or shops/supermarkets, or to visit friends and relatives. You can use this transport only to: hospitals, social institutions, the Pension Fund, registry offices, the ASC, banking institutions and designated evacuation sites.

Due to the security situation, applications are temporarily not accepted from Sadove and Antonivka, as well as parts of Dniprovskyi district. Restrictions may change depending on the security situation and weather conditions.
