Social assistance, improvement and support for TPOs: what Odesa's executive committee considered

On February 26, at 11:00, a meeting of the Executive Committee of Odesa City Council will be held. The meeting will be broadcast live, and the agenda includes issues covering the social sphere, housing and communal services, landscaping, energy modernization, ecology, transport, architecture and land relations.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa City Council.

Among the key topics are changes to the city's program to support territorial defense units and volunteer formations for 2022-2028. The district administrations - Peresypska, Prymorska and Khadzhybeyska - will consider a number of decisions on compensation to citizens for destroyed real estate as a result of hostilities.

The meeting will also address the issue of damaged utility facilities and the transfer of utility facilities by usufruct, including shelters and non-residential basements.

It is planned to adopt changes to wildlife protection programs, regulate the number of stray animals, and improve the environment. They will also consider approving a project to improve the embankment from Lanzheron Beach to Zolotyi Bereg as part of landslide protection structures.

The Department for Mobilization Training, Military Records and Defense Work presented amendments to the city program for supporting territorial defense units and volunteer formations for 2022-2028.

Separate amendments are envisaged to the land dispute commission and to determine the amount of compensation to landowners, as well as to organize pedestrian zones on the Black Sea coast and in the central part of the city.

The meeting also covers programs to support the energy efficiency of apartment buildings, awarding the honorary title of "Mother Heroine," changes in the number of employees in educational institutions, and the issuance and termination of outdoor advertising permits.

The city council also allocated more than UAH 740 million for the"Barrier-Free Odesa" program. The funds were allocated for accessibility for people with disabilities, renovation of bathrooms and inclusive playgrounds.
