The Odesa Regional Military Administration has recommended that educational institutions in the region, which planned to resume full-time education after the winter holidays, consider temporarily switching the educational process to a remote format from January 12 to 19 or extending the winter holidays for this period.

This was announced by the head of the OVA , Oleg Kiper.

The recommendations apply to pre-school, out-of-school, general secondary, vocational, professional higher and higher education institutions, regardless of type and form of ownership.

"If necessary, the work of emergency groups in preschool educational institutions can be organized. The format of work of each educational institution shall be approved immediately by the founders and managers, taking into account the actual meteorological situation, security conditions and other objective factors. In the context of martial law and difficult weather conditions, the priority remains the safety of children, teachers and all participants in the educational process, the preservation of their health and the stable operation of educational institutions," said the head of the OVA.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine provided similar recommendations. On January 10, light precipitation, mostly in the form of snow, is forecast in the morning and afternoon in Odesa region. In the afternoon, there will be slush build-up and ice cover in some places. Southwest wind, northwest 9-14 meters per second during the day. The temperature at night will be 2-7 degrees Celsius, in the north up to 11 degrees Celsius; during the day 0-5 degrees Celsius, in the north up to 4 degrees Celsius; in Odesa at night 2-4 degrees Celsius, during the day 1-3 degrees Celsius.

At the end of last year, frequent and prolonged air raids, during which Odesa schoolchildren had to stay in shelters, led to the city's schools switching to a mixed learning format. The city's schools and kindergartens were advised to organize classes and groups on standby, and to conduct the main classes in synchronous or asynchronous mode.
