School director, who was elected four times as a deputy, dies in Odesa

Lyudmyla Sebova, director of the educational complex "Marine Lyceum - School No. 24" of Odesa City Council , Lyudmyla Sebova died on February 16.

This was reported by Olena Buynevych, former director of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council.

In 1966, Lyudmyla Sebova graduated from the Odesa National State University named after I. Mechnikov. From 1971 to 1977, she was the head of the district committee of the trade union of education workers of the Leninsky district of Odesa (now Peresypsky district), a teacher at secondary school No. 66 in Odesa. From 1977 to 1981, she was the director of school No. 17 in the same district. From 1981 to 1984, she was the head of the district's education department. From 1984 to 1992 - Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa Regional State Administration. Since 1992, she has been the director of the educational complex "Marine Lyceum - School No. 24".

Political activity

From 1977 to 1981, she was a member of the "Trust the Deeds" party and a deputy of the Leninsky (Suvorov) Council of People's Deputies. From 1994 to 1998, she was a member of the Odesa Regional Council. From 2002 to 2006, she was a member of the Odesa City Council. From 2015 to 2020, she was a member of the Odesa City Council of the VII convocation.

In November 2015, Lyudmyla Sebova was criticized by journalists for publicly supporting Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the Odnoklassniki social network, where she liked the political show "We are for Putin."

Earlier, it was also reported that Vitaliy Serafimov, the head of the council of the Odesa regional organization of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine and the state examination commission of the Master's degree in public service at the Odesa National University "Odesa National Law Academy", died.
