SBU cyber specialists detained a resident of Odesa region on suspicion of providing information about the locations, checkpoints and routes of movement of Ukrainian defenders.

This was reported by the SBU.

It has been established that the 55-year-old man was broadcasting the coordinates of the deployment of Ukrainian units and military equipment, as well as details of the arrangement of checkpoints in a chat roulette.

Subsequently, the offender uploaded one of these recorded conversations to a video hosting service, despite the fact that the dissemination of such information under martial law is prohibited by law. As a result of operational measures, SBU officers in Odesa region identified and detained the offender.

The SBU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under martial law).

The case file was sent to court. The offender faces up to 5 years in prison.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a woman in Odesa whom it believes to be an agent of Russian military intelligence (better known as the Main Intelligence Directorate). The suspect is a 32-year-old resident of Odesa who was remotely recruited by a staff member of the Russian special operations forces at the end of last year. The agent was tasked with arranging a cache with components for an improved explosive device (IED) near the port. The SBU established that the next component of the cache was a firearm, which the suspect was to pick up from another frontline city.

SBU and police officers detained in hot pursuit a man who had prepared a terrorist attack in Odesa on February 20 this year. The young man blew up the car of the prosecutor of the Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office in the Southern Region. A passerby was injured in the explosion.
